Main past activities : Gildas Rostain founded the Paris office of Clyde & Co in the early 1990s, after having headed the litigation management structure for transport insurers on the French market.
Gildas has recognized experience in handling major claims, where his perfect knowledge of legal expertise and the industrial environment is highly appreciated. He was involved in the Erika, Prestige and Estonia maritime disasters, and in the litigation that followed numerous industrial disasters, including the AZF disaster, the explosion at the Fos sur Mer petrochemical plant and the fire in the Channel Tunnel.
Gildas has a strong reputation in transport, maritime, land and rail litigation, where he acts for insurance companies, shipowners and major industrial companies alike.
Gildas has acted as counsel in some thirty domestic and international arbitrations (ICC, AFA, CAMP). Gildas Rostain also acts as arbitrator in various cases, notably in the insurance and reinsurance sectors.
